Summer Soccer Camp 2021, Hoboken, NJ
This summer our camps are back and one of our favorite locations will be, Hoboken, NJ. A vibrant, walk-able small town is a unique delight. Its strategic location on the banks of the Hudson River across from lower Manhattan means waterside walkways boast postcard-perfect views from day to night and the surrounding area has many exciting opportunities for kids and adults both to get out and be active in the community.
Who are we?
The Real Madrid Foundation is the international soccer team’s social arm to the community. We represent the club’s soul, with a mission of giving back to the community by offering programs that represent our key values, such as leadership, humility, and respect.
More about this can be found here.
The Real Madrid football club was founded in 1902 and was honored by FIFA as the “greatest football club of the 20th century”. The club has accomplished: 12 European Cups, 1 FIFA Club World Cup, 2 UEFA Cups, 33 LaLiga Championships, and 19 Copa del Rey.
What is the camp?
The camp is one of many social and athletic opportunities offered by the Real Madrid Foundation to bring Real Madrid CF coaches to a multitude of communities and provide an affordable soccer camp for kids of all experience levels.
After last year’s break, we will be back this Summer 2021 setting up these camps. In 2019, hundreds of boys and girls participated in our week long events in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Daily activities included skill workshops, basics of athleticism, field dynamics, and competition.
Where will it be?
This year’s camp in Hoboken, NJ is going to be held at Sinatra Park Soccer Field, from July 12th to July 16th. The field is part of Sinatra Park, one of the locations with better views on Manhattan’s skyline, a waterfront park that offers a kayak launch, the soccer field where the camp will take place, an amphitheater and numerous coffees and restaurants few blocks away.
Take advantage of the area
Our passion at the Real Madrid Foundation is providing opportunities for social, athletic, and community growth. We’re proud to be part of a number of other opportunities in the surrounding area. There are many camps and activities taking place this summer, and we encourage everyone to get out the check them out.
Other opportunities in the area for this summer that we consider very positive and interesting in terms of learning new skills and adding new experiences for participants of all ages are:
Blüthner School of Music in Hoboken, an institution that offers a comprehensive music program for students of all ages and levels. The classes, taught by classically-trained, professional artists include one-on-one instruction on Blüthner pianos and other instruments as well as music theory, composition, and music literature. More info can be found here.
MiMi Kids Yoga Summer Camp, if you are interested in discovering more and experiencing the mental and physical benefits of yoga. More information can be found here.
